Wow ! What a wagon .
I tought that I had with the liliput L238305 a big heavyload wagon . That one has 16 axles and a lenght of 509 mm .(warning that it may not fit trough narrow curves . Eventually obstacles on the insite of te curves have to be removed .)
This is even better (read bigger) . 32 axle and a lenght of .... ? When they come out I will buy one , even wenn I cant run it .

regards Jos

Indeed a great model! :D :D :D [Already reserved one…].
D38 is probable available around about Chinese New Year.
In 2007 I found a picture of this D38 in other colors, but with the same number! :)
An unloaded D38 is still impressive……. (If I not wrong, Nanjing Station)

I looked for data about this wagon . It seems that there is build 1 in 1998 . All the pictures I saw until now of this wagon , it was painted grey . Perhaps changed in color after a overhaul .
Is this wagon orange today ? Who can tell ?

I believe the D38 was originally painted Orange but was soon repainted in the light gray scheme. (The model looks brown to me though, not orange). I found photos on another site - http://southern.railfan.net/schnabel/ca ... r/d38.html

I saw the finished models today in Bachmann´s Wuding Lu Shop. They will launch obviously two models with different colour schemes, one in grey and on in reddish brown (like thir C64s). But the running number of the wagon is the same, (the one shown in the pictures of his thread). The model is not yet for sale though.
Maybe only one was built in reality?
