Large Chinese HO exhibition layout

Post by TEAMYAKIMA » 05 Jul 2013, 18:25

I have had the idea for a large Chinese HO exhibition layout for some time and have spent the last two years having a shed built and kitted out whilst working on rolling stock - see other topic in "Modelling work".

Finally work has begun on the baseboards for my new Chinese HO layout........

Ok, it's time I posted some progress on this project .... my problem has been that all my photos have been too large for this forum.... have now learnt how to resize them to fit ..... so here is a trackplan of the scenic section - 20ft x 3ft ....

More as time allows , for the moment back to modelling!

Here is the interior (cafe/restaurant) of my first tenement block.

Two western railfans take a break from the trackside whilst waiting for the next SY hauled coal train ....

Hallo Paul

How big or small is your layout ? Is it easy to transport ?

Hi Jos

The layout is 26ft x 10ft

The shed I build it in is only 12ft x 7ft inside!! So it will only operate at exhibitions.

The visible section is 20ft x 3ft , that is to say four 5ft x 3ft

Here is one fiddle yard board
